Glasgow - the Squinty Bridge
Wednesday, January 30th, 2008One of the most interesting areas in Glasgow at the moment is along the Clyde at Pacific Quay. In the news recently was the Clyde Arc bridge, nicknamed the “Squinty Bridge”, which was closed due to a snapping cable hanger and the subsequent discovery of another crack. The bridge will be closed for some time. Along the river bank on Pacific Quay is the new BBC Scotland Headquarters and the rather more interesting Glasgow Science Centre. You can cross the river by the Bell’s Bridge here to take a closer look at the “Armadillo” building and the impressive Finnieston Crane.
